Askari bank offers Roshan Digital Account (RDA) an initiative of State Bank of Pakistan. RDA is a specialized account primarily for non-resident Pakistanis. This unique account allows facilities such as investment in Naya Pakistan Certificates, remittances, payments etc., thus providing the convenience of digital banking services to customers residing abroad.
Non-Resident Pakistanis having CNIC/SNIC/NICOP. Foreign Nationals having Pakistan Origin Card (POC), Resident Individual Pakistanis who have duly declared assets held abroad (foreign currency account only).
Yes, Pakistani residents who have declared their assets held abroad, as per their last wealth statement filed with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), can open Askari Roshan Digital Account by visiting Askari Bank’s designated branches.
Both accounts types Current & Savings are being offered in Islamic & Conventional banking mode.
Currently Roshan Digital Account can be opened in PKR & USD. More currencies will be added soon.
No, there is no minimum account balance requirement.

  • Proof of Profession and Source of Income/ Funds (job certificate, tax return, rent agreement, salary slips, etc. consolidated in a single image file)
  • Live /digital photo
  • Signature on white paper/ scanned image of signature
  • Wealth statement declared in latest tax returns with Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) (For Resident Pakistanis Only)
No, customer can fill their form in multiple sessions as per their convenience and after each session they would be able to save their progress to start from where they left in the next session.

Yes, Roshan Digital Account holder would be allowed to open multiple accounts. However, only one account in each category i.e. either current or saving can be opened, in each currency.
No, a valid passport is required to get this account opened.
Internet Banking is offered to Roshan Digital Account holders free of cost.
Customer can apply for the internet banking facility while filling and submitting account opening request. The credentials provided at the time of submission of request for Roshan Digital Account opening through RDA Portal will be used to access I-Net Banking.
Only PKR Roshan Digital account holders are eligible for debit card facility.
Customer can apply for a debit card while filling and submitting account opening request.
Debit Card will be delivered at the address requested by the customer & the delivery time will depend on the geographical location of the customer.
Customer can apply for a cheque book while filling and submitting account opening request.

Customers can request to change their Roshan Digital Account details by submitting the request to AKBL RDA Unit though their registered email address.
Yes, the funds in RDA can be transmitted through all legitimate and conventional channels.
10% WHT will be deducted on profit credited in terms of government bonds/certificates in customers account.
No, Local credit OTC or cheque deposit is not allowed in Roshan Digital Account, except for the return on or profits made from the authorized investments made from the accounts and the expiration / maturity of the investments made from the accounts.
Once account is activated, customers can make investments in following State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) permissible sectors:
  • Naya Pakistan certificate (NPC) scheme offered by Government of Pakistan (GOP) & State Bank of Pakistan (SBP)
  • Real Estate Investments
  • Investment in shares quoted in Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX)
  • Investment in Askari Bank’s Term Deposit products
Customers can invest in AKBL Term Deposit products through ABKL Internet Banking. Customer may also approach RDA unit through registered mobile number or registered email on numbers 24/7 RDA support unit : +92 51 111000787).
No, the obligatory deduction of Zakat will not apply to RDA.
